I'm Ifeanyi. I'm a board-certified Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and I write and edit health content for the people who make it: communications agencies, digital health brands, and pharma teams who need clinically accurate work that doesn't sound like a textbook.
My day job is still seeing patients. That's not a footnote — it's the reason my work resonates.
My path
Nine years of clinical practice shaped how I write about health. Three chapters of that practice shape why.
Chapter 01
2017 – 2020
Years across multiple intensive care units, caring for patients who never saw their diagnoses coming. I watched what late-stage chronic disease looks like when it's already arrived, and learned what most patient education never quite gets right — the questions families wish someone had answered earlier, in language they could actually use.
Chapter 02
2020 – 2023
Hospice taught me what compassionate health communication actually sounds like. Patients want clarity. Families want honesty. I started keeping notes on what worked — which framings landed, which words helped, which ones hurt. That practice eventually became a writing practice.
Chapter 03
2023 – present
Now I work upstream — helping patients take ownership of chronic disease before the trajectory hardens. The writing I do for brands draws from all three chapters: the urgency I learned in the ICU, the honesty I learned in hospice, and the upstream conviction I see prove itself every week in clinic.
